In response to the tens of you who have asked why this site is called “The next miracle”:

Back in late 1994 – when the world’s few hundred personal Web sites were still called home pages, and no one was talking about blogs – version 1.01 of my “home page” had one of my standard bons mots as its motto: “One miracle at a time.”

One day, Tribune Co. then-CEO Charlie Brumback let me know on the phone that he’d noticed I hadn’t updated the page all that recently.

“Owen,” he said, “I’m waiting for the next miracle.”

Thus, each successive iteration of owenyoungman.com is, by definition, the next miracle in a 28-year-old series.
